2001-08-03 - 1:38 a.m. She peered out of the clear walls Gazing, not really looking as they passed Alone, in pairs, strangers, strange people, who cared? They walked by, with disregard, in oblivion She leaned over, her face almost blank, With but a subtle scowl. Her heart felt awkardly heavy this day, Was it sleep deprivation, caffeine jitters, or plain boredom, she wondered. From across, you would have thought she was staring wistfully, As if waiting, as if having waited for a long time. She was exceptionally unhappy today, Usually she was neither happy nor unhappy. Her mind was choked with blinking thoughts She could not grasp anything thoroughly. Everytime she tried to complete a thought process, It disappeared, like a bubble when you poke at it. She used to long for the human mind to emerge a clean slate each day after sleep Each day would be a new one, with fresh imprints lasting 24 hours. That way, all things (good or bad) would only have to be lived with for a day, And life would be about searching for moments to fill the days up with. She considered that a fair trade-off Afterall, misery often lasts so much longer than happiness.
